The world has shown an increasing interest in greener products, and Chevrolet has boldly stepped into the eco-friendly space. It dabbled in electric vehicles (EVs) for a while, with its discontinued Chevy Spark being one of the earlier electric offerings. Still, recently Chevy has shown a new and invigorating commitment to going electric, with a major buzz around the release of its Chevy Blazer EV, set to come out in the summer of 2023, causing dealers to be swarmed with reservations and requests for information. For us here at Parkway Chevrolet, your premier Chevy Blazer EV dealer in Tomball, TX, we couldn’t be more excited.

Chevy has continuously improved upon its EV lineup, refining its technology and adding more and more body types to its EV lineup, like the Blazer EV. The Blazer has led the charge for this all-electric direction for Chevy, with the manufacturer being very public about its plans to keep putting out more EV vehicles. It’s even consistently surprised the market by creating EV versions of already popular cars in unexpected body categories. The Silverado EV was a shock to many, as is the upcoming Equinox EV. Chevy has big plans to be one of the leaders in electric vehicles. Here’s all we know about the exciting new Chevy Blazer EV and Chevy’s electric future as a whole.

Say Hello to the 2023 Chevy Blazer

The upcoming 2023 Chevy Blazer is a gorgeous all-electric SUV with sophisticated body lines and an amazing mileage range. It completely busts the myth that electric vehicles need to look tech-heavy or futuristic; it has a classic and elegant aesthetic, and that’s not even touching on its capabilities. This Blazer will get an estimated 320-mile range on a full charge, meaning you can travel long stretches of road before pulling over and charging up.

The Blazer is defying stereotypes of electric cars in so many ways with its 2023 rendition, like the myth that EVs can’t be fast and powerful. The 2023 Blazer EV can go from zero to 60 in under four seconds, and the SS trim boasts a massive 557 horsepower. You will not feel this car struggling to keep up with your ambitions. This beauty sits on an Ultium battery platform, which allows for various charging speeds, ranges, and performance capabilities. In fact, it has three available drive-train systems: front-wheel, all-wheel, and rear-wheel drive, empowering you to go wherever you want without concern that your car will lose control. Every 2023 Blazer EV will come with a generous eight-year/100,000-mile warranty on the battery, providing peace of mind to those getting familiar to the EV lifestyle.

Electric functionality isn’t the only modern thing about this car. It’s also got one pedal driving available, with which you can slow, brake, and speed up the car using, as the name suggests, just one pedal. This not only improves its efficiency but also reduces driver fatigue in stop-and-go traffic. Plus, it has the Super Cruise hands-free driving capability that can be activated on over 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the US and Canada. Chevrolet is working hard to make new EV drivers feel supported, which is why they developed the myChevrolet mobile app with energy assist. This app will tell you where there are public charging stations, in real-time, on your route, so you always know where to pull over to get charged.

The interface is stunning, with an 11-inch diagonal driver info screen along with a 17.7-inch diagonal display screen. This lets you clearly see important information about your vehicle’s systems and all the infotainment apps you need to entertain you during your travels. Making the switch to an EV can feel intimidating to some drivers, but Chevrolet has pulled out all the stops to make the transition feel seamless and exciting.

Chevy’s Current EV Lineup and Beyond

Chevy has made it clear that its focus is on electric vehicles. They made this known when they invested $4 billion in an assembly plant in Orion Township, Michigan, a plant dedicated to producing the EV lineup, including the Bolt EV, the Bolt EUV, the Chevrolet Silverado EV, and the GMC Electric Sierra. They’ve laid the groundwork to continue to improve upon their Ultium battery platform and other EV technology. They’ve also rapidly ramped up their lineup of EVs to offer something for just about anyone, in every body style. Here’s a quick look at the current and future Chevy EV lineup:

The Bolt EV

This affordable and compact EV aligns with Chevy’s dedication to making electric vehicles accessible to everyone, regardless of budget. It has great handling, a fun sport mode, and a nice 259-mile range. It’s been around since 2016 and is ideal for the young professional who needs to make a long commute.

The Bolt EUV

The Bolt EUV is the Bolt EV’s bigger, more luxurious sibling. It has a similar body style but is several inches longer and comes with upscale touches like available leather upholstery. Those who need more space and want a more eye-catching exterior but still want an EV can look at this car.

In Chevy’s continued effort to encourage drivers to go electric and make the switch easy, Chevy is covering the standard installation of level 2 charging ports for buyers and leasers of 2022 and 2023 Bolt EUV and Bolt EVs.

The Equinox EV

The Equinox EV will be coming out in the fall of 2023 and brings Chevy’s electric technology to this already popular compact SUV. It has a higher driving position and more storage space than a sedan, but is still easy to handle and get in and out of parking spots. The EV version will have a 300-mile range and can get up to 70 miles of range in 10 minutes of charging.

The Silverado EV

Chevy defied all odds when it introduced its EV technology to one of its most popular workhorses. The Silverado EV will be available in the fall of 2023, and the full lineup is set to be out in 2024. It will have an impressive 660 hp, a 400-mile range, and a hefty 780 lb-ft of torque.

It’s Time to Join the Revolution

Chevrolet has always been connected to what American drivers need and value. The public has spoken, and there is major interest in going electric. People still want all of Chevy’s great capabilities and trusted reliability, but they want to get around in a way that’s kinder to the environment and keeps them from constantly stopping at the gas station. And with so many public charging stations going up around America every day, there’s less and less of a reason not to go electric.

Chevy worked rapidly and responded to the call for more EVs. In their electric lineup, they already have nearly every body type you could want, from a hatchback to a sedan to a pickup to an SUV. They wasted no time in proving that they were good for their word on their EV mission. Chevy has also shown that going electric doesn’t have to come with any sacrifice in style or capabilities. Many of their EVs have all of the same tech, if not more, than their previous cars and boast some gorgeous designs. It looks like Chevy is just getting started with its EV lineup, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
