We’ve got stock of Chevy’s latest offerings, including Chevy’s most popular SUVs like the Traverse and more recent additions such as the Bolt EUV and the refreshed Bolt EV. The price for the 2022 Traverse isn’t public as of yet, but sources indicate an estimated price tag of $32,000. This is well within the price of Chevy’s other offerings in the 2022 model year, including the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV. The 2022 Bolt EV has a starting price of $31,000 for the base trim 1LT, and there’s a pricier 2LT model with additional features such as leather seats and more advanced safety equipment built in.* The 2022 Bolt EUV starts at an MSRP of $33,000 for the base model, and the more expensive Premier trim includes additional features, including the revolutionary Super Cruise hands-free driving technology.*

2022 Chevy Traverse

This year’s Traverse features excellent performance, and this year’s model is noted as having far more standard safety features than its predecessor. This is because Chevy Safety Assist is now equipped on every trim, which is a huge win for Traverse fans as they’ll now have safety features such as Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning, for example. These features help you maintain a straight path while on the freeway and assist you in preventing any unintended misalignment with your lane. Other safety features that now come with every trim include Forward Collision Alert, which will warn you if an impact is about to occur, allowing you a brief moment to apply the brakes. If you don’t have the means to apply the brakes in time, Automatic Emergency Braking will kick in and bring your vehicle to a halt, and with built-in Front Pedestrian Braking, this can also save a bystander’s life.

Traverse models this year can also be equipped with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which doesn’t affect how these two features work when connected, but what does change is how you access them. No longer will you need a cable to connect your phone to your infotainment center when you want to utilize either one of these features, but the option is still there if you want to get a phone battery charge while you’re at it.

The Traverse is also fantastic as an SUV, thanks to ample performance provided by a standard 3.6L V6 paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain will produce 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, and this also means that you’ll have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 lbs if you opt for the available trailering package. While performance is one thing, the Traverse is also incredibly spacious, with a maximum cargo capacity of 98.2 cu.ft. when all back seats are folded down. With just the rear-most backseat folded, you’ll have an outstanding 57.8 cu.ft. of space, and even at its worst, it still offers a very respectable 23.0 cu.ft. of space.

2022 Chevy Bolt EV

This year’s Bolt EV is a refresh of the vehicle, and it’s a rather early one, too, considering the original Bolt EV launched only in 2017, but it’s a welcomed one for sure. This new take on the Bolt EV has brought with it an emphasis on safety, convenience, and accessibility. One quick look at the price drop over last year’s model makes it clear that Chevy wants more people to get into the world of electric vehicles. Part of this stride means that performance has ultimately remained untouched since 2020, when the range was increased from 238 to 259 miles on a single charge. We still enjoy the Bolt EV’s powertrain, and we aren’t upset with the lack of change this year. For reference, this year’s Bolt EV uses a 65-kWh battery that pairs with an electric motor, and this combo makes 200 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque.

Features that make the Bolt EV so exciting can’t be replicated on your standard gasoline powertrain, and this includes One Pedal Driving. To put this into perspective, you’re more than likely aware of how a regular vehicle operates with the accelerator, brake pedal, and clutch if you’re driving a manual. With One Pedal Driving, once activated, you can gain speed with the accelerator much the same, and when you find a speed that you’re comfortable with, you simply maintain your foot’s position on the pedal. But here’s the best part. Once you want to bring your vehicle to a stop, all you have to do is bring your foot up off of the accelerator, and the vehicle will use the electric motor to decelerate. This has an even greater purpose, however, and that’s to regain energy for the battery by utilizing the energy captured during the process of slowing down. Something like this is almost science-fiction, and in practice, it’s hard not to find it super interesting.

2022 Bolt EUV

The 2022 Bolt EUV is all-new this year, and it’s built to be a larger variant of the Bolt EV, more suited towards the SUV market. This vehicle performs identically to the regular Bolt EV with 200 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, but its range is slightly decreased from 259 miles to 247 miles. This 4.6% decrease makes sense for the size of the vehicle and is a worthy trade-off. The feature that we mainly want to mention is Super Cruise, and this a feature that’s exclusive to the Bolt EUV. While it’s not exactly a full-blown automated driving system, it’s the next best thing, and Chevy describes it as “Hands-Free Driving.”

To simplify things, there is a light bar at the top of your steering wheel, and when it’s solid green, that means that you’re on one of the 200,000 miles of roads that are compatible with the feature. When this is the case, your vehicle can utilize three advanced safety features to essentially take control. Lane Centering is used to keep your vehicle properly aligned on the road, and Adaptive Cruise Control will dynamically shift your vehicle’s speed depending on upcoming traffic. In an emergency, Automatic Emergency Braking will apply to help prevent a collision, and if the driver needs to take back control of the vehicle, it’s no trouble whatsoever.
