For 2019, Chevrolet gives the Silverado 1500 a new face and some new trim levels. The Silverado gets a look that’s more modern but still familiar. Buyers at dealers like the North Houston Chevrolet dealer remain faithful to the Silverado because of its solid performance, quiet and comfortable cabin, and exceptional reliability. This year, buyers can choose one of the outstanding new engines.

Customers of North Houston Chevrolet appreciate that they can buy the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 configured just the way they need it. There are eight trim levels, listed as Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ and High Country. The Silverado is available in three different cab styles and three cargo box sizes. We’ll look at the Chevy Silverado 1500’s trim levels and examine the differences between them.

Silverado 1500 Work Truck

Although the WT trim is the base model, it still comes with a nice set of features. The WT is offered as a two-door regular cab and employs a 4.3-liter V6 engine that makes 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a six-speed automatic. Standard equipment includes a tilt-only steering wheel, 17-inch steel wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen, AC, a six-speaker stereo system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth and a USB outlet.

Silverado 1500 Custom

There aren’t too many differences between the Custom and WT trims, however, the Custom opens the door to four-door extended cab and crew cab configurations. The Custom comes with remote entry, 20-inch wheels, heated power mirrors, tinted glass, front tow hooks and cruise control.

Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss

Off-roaders should consider the Custom Trail Boss, trim. It includes four-wheel drive, along with a lifted suspension, 18-inch black wheels, red tow hooks and a gloss-black finish. The Custom Trail Boss also comes with the features of the Z71 Off-Road package, including Rancho shocks, Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, a locking rear differential and skid plates.

Silverado 1500 LT

The LT trim is powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque. Transmission duties are handled by an eight-speed automatic. Standard features include LED headlights, a split-bar chrome grille, an 8-inch touchscreen and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The LT also has optional leather upholstery.

Silverado 1500 RST

The RST trim gets full-LED lighting, body-color trim, a rear window defroster, a power tailgate and remote start.

Silverado 1500 Trail Boss

The Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss trim is motivated by a a 5.3-liter V8 that develops 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of twist, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The LT Trail Boss gets most of the same features found in the Custom Trail Boss and adds exclusive exterior trim, dual exhaust, and the features found in the Suspension and Z71 Trailering packages.

Silverado 1500 LTZ

The LTZ gets lots of chrome adornment, as well as leather upholstery, a heated tilt/telescoping steering wheel, two 120-volt power outlets, heated and power-adjustable front seats, a trailer brake controller, auto-dimming and power-folding mirrors, driver-seat memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, HD radio, navigation and a higher-definition rearview camera. The LTZ and High Country have an optional 6.2-liter V8 powerplant that cranks out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft, matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Silverado 1500 High Country

The High Country trim gets all the features of the LTZ, plus 20-inch chrome wheels, chrome side step rails, front and rear parking sensors, ventilated front seats, a power-sliding rear window, heated second-row seats, a spray-on bedliner, a power-up-and-down tailgate, a premium Bose audio system with seven speakers, lane departure warning, a wireless phone charger, rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring.
