We offer reimbursement for loaners (up to 5 days) if repairs take overnight. You can also receive up to $30 a day (5 day max) reimbursement for rental car or cab (gasoline excluded). We also have a free shuttle service available if the service is same-day. As an added bonus for our customers we also offer a roadside assistance program that features a toll-free hotline, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year for assistance and towing.

There are two quick and easy enrollment options available:

Step 2- Choose the Sign-in option. You can choose option one: "just visiting." This allows you to merely select the year and model of your vehicle, with no login personal information required. This gives you limited access to the features.

Or you can choose option two: "Create an Account." To do this, you click on "create and account", select a registration method. You can create a new account (username, password, and profile) or login using your existing user id and password. With this option, you receive full access which includes personalized vehicle-specific information. You are also able to add all of your vehicles to one single account as well.

Parkway Chevrolet's Service Department recommends "GM's Oil Life System." 

General Motors vehicles equipped with the oil life monitor will tell you when to change your oil - it's no longer necessary to change your oil every 3,000 miles!

We know. Just like you, our grandfathers told our fathers who told us to change the oil every 3,000 miles! However, the advanced technology on GM vehicles today make changing the oil every 3,000 miles unnecessary and a waste of oil, time, and money. 

So, how do you tell when it's time to change your oil?

Simple. When the "Change Oil Light" comes on or at least once a year. This averages every 7,500 miles but can be more or less on your driving conditions and how you drive your vehicle. Nowadays, if you own a Chevrolet Buick, GMC, Pontiac, or Saturn with an oil life monitor and your dealer is telling you to come in every 3,000 miles, then they must just be trying to get more opportunities to sell you stuff, stuff you may or may not need!

That said, Parkway recommends that your bring your GM vehicle to us every 5,000 miles for an oil and filter change, tire rotation, and general "check up."

Maintenance Services

  • Change the engine oil and filter. Reset the Oil Life System monitor. This is an Emission Control Service.

  • Check the engine coolant and windshield washer fluid levels and add fluid as needed.

  • Engine cooling system inspection. Visual inspection of hoses, pipes, fittings, and clamps and replacement, if needed.

  • Inspect the wiper blades for wear or cracking.

  • Rotate the tires every 7500 miles and inspect tire inflation pressures and tire wear.

  • Inspect the vehicle for any leaks or damage (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first).

  • Inspect engine air cleaner filter.

  • Inspect the brake system (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first).

  • Inspect the suspension and steering components.

  • Body hinges and latches, key lock cylinders, rear compartment hinges, console door hinges, and glove box door hinges lubrication. More frequent lubrication may be required when vehicle is exposed to a corrosive environment. Applying silicone grease on weatherstrips with a clean cloth makes them last longer, seal better, and not stick or squeak.

  • Inspect the restraint system components.

  • Inspect fuel system for damage or leaks.

  • Inspect exhaust system and nearby heat shields for loose or damaged components.

  • Inspect Accelerator pedal for damage, high effort, or binding. Replace if needed.

  • Visually inspect gas strut for signs of wear, corrosion, cracks, loss of lubricant, or other damage. Check the hold open ability of gas strut. Replace if necessary.

Most Chevrolet vehicles are now equipped with Engine Oil Life System. This system actually senses your vehicle's speed and engine temperature and can continuously monitor operating conditions. This helps determine when it's time to change the oil.
This Oil Life System can actually monitor your personal driving habits and your area's climate conditions to let you know precisely when to come in for an oil change. When the OLS light comes on, you come in. It's that simple. It will help you save money and help reduce oil waste.

Are Your Brakes Signaling A Problem?
Sometimes, your Chevrolet vehicle's brakes will alert you when there is trouble. Whistling noises, chirping sounds, and grinding are indications that brake service is required. Here are some common causes of brake pedal pulsation and/or noise:

  • Worn brake pads
  • Heat-cracked or worn rotors
  • Loose-fitting brake pads in the caliper
  • Missing or damaged noise insulators
  • Uneven torque of lug nuts or caliper hardware
