A Peek at the Next-Gen 2016 Chevy Corvette

Even though we are excited about the 2014 Chevy Corvette models that are arriving on our Parkway Chevrolet showroom floor daily, we are also very eager for the highly anticipated next-gen 2016 Chevy Corvette. And, recently the American automaker was spotted out doing some testing in the redesigned 2016 Corvette.

Spy shots of the legendary Corvette were recently captured. The iconic sportscar was wearing heavy black matting, but from pictures it is quite evident that the auto will be keeping its unmistakable shape and design, which enthusiasts have grown to love over the years. It is anticipated that the Corvette will be named the Z07, and will be the baseline for all additional Corvette variants in the future. A few of the expected changes that have been reported include a frame railed from aluminum rather than steel. It has also been reported that several other parts of the Corvette will have their materials updated to improve performance and efficiency.

We also wouldn't be surprised if we saw bigger tires on the 2016 Chevy Corvette, as well as larger rear vents for more optimum cooling. There is only one thing that this could mean and that's that a very dominant engine is going to be living under the hood.

All of this has everyone here at Parkway Chevrolet filled with anticipation. So, we will be following the progression of the 2016 Chevy Corvette closely, and will post all the details right here on our blog. So, if you are has anxious as us we suggest you check our blog on a regular basis.

Our entire team also encourages you to swing by and take a look at our current inventory of new Chevy cars at our greater Houston, Texas showroom. Upon your arrival a member of our team will be able to discuss specs, compare models and get you behind the wheel for a few test drives.
