2015 Chevrolet Colorado Offers Class-Leading Capability

The Chevrolet brand is known for being versatile by offering a range of vehicles across the new Chevy lineup, from sporty coupes to rugged trucks. Recently, the American automaker unveiled a brand new model, set the revolutionize the midsize truck segment.

The warps were taken off of the 2015 Chevy Colorado at the Los Angeles Auto Show and is set to blow competitors out of the water with the utility and versatility of a full-size truck, proven by class leading payload, trailers and powering output.

The 2015 Colorado is slated to be the most powerful truck in the midsize truck segment with an  2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine that is paired with a six-speed automatic or manual transmission to produce 193 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. There is also the option for a 3.6-liter V6 engine, which churns out 302 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque.

With powerful capability like this, it comes as no surprise that such a truck is able to offer a class topping payload capacity upwards of 6,700 pounds. That's plenty of capability for towing your boat to the nearest lake or packing up the family for a weekend camping trip.

"We designed the Colorado to be the most versatile and most capable in its segment, bar none," says Jeff Luke, executive engineer, GM Trucks. "Not everyone needs full-size capability, but they still deserve the strength and true-truck attributes that come in larger models. The Colorado delivers capability with confidence – and a fun-to-drive spirit that complements active lifestyles."1

While there is no timeframe concerning the arrival of the 2015 Colorado in our Tomball, TX showroom, production is expected to commence in 2014. Be sure to stay tuned to Parkway Chevrolet's blog for more details as they become available, by subscribing through your RSS feed.
