The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is available in eight trim levels, listed as Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country. Buyers can choose from three cab configurations and three cargo box sizes. We’ll examine the 2020 Silverado 1500 trim levels and go over the features buyers get with each one.

Silverado 1500 Work Truck (WT)

The base Silverado 1500 WT trim employs a 4.3-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. This trim comes with vinyl seats, four-way manually adjustable front seats, 17-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, the Teen Driver system, Bluetooth, an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, a stereo system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a USB port.

An optional WT Convenience package includes power outside mirrors, keyless entry, power windows and locks, and cruise control. The WT Safety package comes with front and rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring and rear parking sensors.

Silverado 1500 Custom

The Custom trim includes cloth upholstery, 20-inch painted aluminum wheels, heated outside mirrors, keyless entry, power windows and locks, front tow hooks, cruise control and a stereo system with six speakers.

The Infotainment package adds satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot and OnStar. The Custom Convenience package comes with in-bed lighting and remote start.

Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss

The Custom Trail Boss trim gets four-wheel drive standard. It comes with the features of the Custom trim, plus a blacked-out appearance and off-road equipment. The Custom Trail Boss gets a 2-inch lifted suspension and the Z71 Off Road package, which includes 18-inch black wheels, hill descent control, a locking rear differential, skid plates, Rancho shocks and off-road tires.

Silverado 1500 LT

The LT trim is powered by a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque, teamed to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include an 8-inch color touchscreen, LED headlights, a tailgate damper and daytime running lights.

Silverado 1500 RST

The RST starts with the features of the LT and adds a unique street-performance appearance, 22-inch wheels, body-color trim, remote start, in-bed lighting and a power tailgate.

Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss

The LT Trail Boss trim employs a 5.3-liter V8 engine that makes 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The LT Trail Boss gets the same features as the LT trim, plus a blacked-out appearance and off-road equipment. Standard features include a 2-inch lifted suspension, 18-inch black wheels and the contents of the Z71 trailering and suspension packages.

Silverado 1500 LTZ

The LTZ comes with several comfort features, such as leather upholstery, power-folding and heated mirrors, heated front seats, a heated tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Also standard are two 120-volt power outlets, navigation, a trailer brake controller and an upgraded rearview camera.

Silverado 1500 High Country

The High Country trim starts with the features of the LTZ. It adds blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, front and rear parking sensors, a spray-on bedliner, power-up-and-down tailgate, a Bose stereo system with seven speakers and a wireless phone charger.

Buyers can choose an available 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel engine that develops 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque or a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. Both powerplants are connected to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The High Country trim with the 5.3-liter V8 comes with the 10-speed automatic.
