Chevy is the only brand with two vehicles on thr 2010 Top Pick list -- the Chevrolet Traverse and Silverado.
The Traverse was noted for its that it can comfortably seat up to eight adults and leave room for cargo. The model tested had 16 mpg overall, which was said to be respectable for its size.
The Silverado crew-cab 4WD model was called a well-rounded pickup with a roomy cabin, generous payload capacity, and a very good interior fit and finish.

To make its list, Consumer Reports completes more than 50 individual tests on each vehicle, including braking, handling, comfort, convenience, safety and fuel economy, over roughly 6,000 miles of general driving.
